What We've Been Reading Lately

I don't get to read nearly as much as I'd like to, but here's six novels that I've read lately. I always love reading/hearing about other people's book recommendations, so I thought maybe some of you might feel the same way! Hands down, my favorite of this bunch was The Nghtingale. If you haven't read it yet, go read it right now! You won't be disappointed! Also, if you have young kids in elementary school, Class Mom is such a fun, easy read. It was the perfect light-hearted book to follow The Nightingale.

And I am huge, huge advocate for read-alouds. I recently discovered The Read Aloud Revival, and I have enjoyed perusing their content! I'm not a Podcast person, but The Read Aloud Revival has a podcast if that's your kind of thing! Even if your kids are phenomenal readers, don't stop reading aloud to them! I still regularly read picture books aloud to the girls, but here are a few novels they've both enjoyed recently. For age reference, Shelby is 7.5 now & Hadley just turned five. {Side note--we started to read book #3 in The Chronicles of Narnia series, and we had to stop..it was way too much for our age group.}
