We have been thinking for a while about how we would like to have somewhere in our house (other than just the fridge) to display Shelby's artwork. I finally came across something I liked on {THIS} blog, and we used that as our inspiration for this project. Here is what we came up with:
It was a pretty simple (and cheap!) project, but we love how it turned out! All we did was buy one long (I think it was 8ft) piece of wood at Lowe's, and then Derek cut it in half at home. (We totally could have had them cut it for us for free at Lowe's, but Derek wanted an excuse to use his circular saw for the first time.) We spray painted the wood and the letters (which we got at Michael's) with a flat black color. Then we spray painted some clothes pins a dark red color that we already had on hand, and then we just hot glued them onto the boards. Then all that was left to do was hang it up on the wall! We love having Shelby's masterpieces on display for everyone to see & enjoy! :)
