Margaritaville

A couple of weeks ago, Derek & I treated ourselves to a little date night at Margaritaville. It is Biloxi's newest casino/restaurant that just opened mid-May. We were excited to go check it out! It is located on the back bay and has great views of the bay and the Ocean Springs bridge.

There was about a 30 minute wait for our table, so we got to enjoy walking around the casino a bit before we sat down to eat dinner. The whole place had a really fun & unique vibe. For example, they had girls walking around in stilts making balloon animals for people. Is that not the most random thing you've ever heard of?! Ha! I wanted to take a picture of it, but I felt too awkward! ;)  We were surprised with a little "show" during our dinner. Here are a few pics of it...

The slide dumped the girl out into a replica blender for margaritas.

Then she did a dance routine in the glass.

Then there was more dancing, but in the air this time ;)

We ordered the Volcano Nachos after several people recommended them to us,
and they definitely did not disappoint!

A couple fun facts about Margaritaville--it is Biloxi's 12th casino, which brings the number of casinos in the city back to what it was pre-Katrina. Windows are typically a rarity in casinos b/c they want you to lose track of time as you gamble, but that is not the case in Margaritaville. The "view" that I mentioned above? It comes courtesy of  a 30 foot wall of glass overlooking the bay & the bridge.

After our delicious dinner, we headed over to the Hard Rock to grab some Ben & Jerry's for dessert. It was a fun night out with my hubby! If you are stationed at Keesler or if you ever come to Biloxi for a visit, you should definitely check out Margaritaville!
