Hot, Hot, Hot!

It has just been plain HOT here this past week! Already in the 90's with unbearable humidity in May does not have me looking forward to the rest of the summer here in South Mississippi..but we are making the most of it by staying cool in the water!

A friend of ours with two little boys was planning to get rid of {THIS} water table, so we gladly took it off their hands! It's missing a lot of the great little features that originally came with it, but Shelby doesn't know any different! And the actual table itself is still in great shape, and Shelby is loving it!

And I just discovered today that giving Shelby the hose will give me a 20 minute break to just sit back and put my feet up....that is of course, until she turns the hose on me and then I have to jump up at lightning speed b/c she has very little control/aim with the hose just yet. ;)

They are putting a new pool and splash pad into our neighborhood right across the street from us, and we can hardly wait for it to open! The original expected completion date was September of this year...but they have already been working on the landscaping and have the gate up around the pool...so I'm REALLY hoping it will be ready sooner than planned, so we can actually enjoy it this summer!
