Hadley Mae: 9 Months!!

Happy 9 Months, Hadley!!! 

It is absolutely crazy to us that we will be celebrating your 1st birthday in just 3 short months! For some reason, it just kind of feels like we'll always have a preschooler & a baby. But I know that's not true. It's just hard to believe you're not our little baby anymore, but you're still our baby!

There's not a whole lot of new stuff to report on from last month--you're still eating & sleeping great, still working on that bottom tooth (we can see it now when you smile big!), still not even remotely thinking about mobility, and still just as sweet as ever.

One new thing you have picked up this month is clapping, and you can do it on command which is just the cutest thing ever!! You also seem so much older lately when we go to Bear Cub Club or Toddler Time at Kangarooz. You used to just stay in the baby carrier the entire time sleeping or observing. Now you are down on the floor with Shelby really trying to participate. Whenever the music comes on, you start bouncing & dancing to the beat. How are you old enough for that?!?!

Tis month the bond you & your sister have has really deepened. When you get upset in the car, Shelby will say "Shh, shh, shh Sissy. We're almost there." or she'll sing you a song. But Shelby has also learned that when she makes little squealy, high-pitched sounds (I have no idea how to explain it any better than that), it will make you laugh hysterically. The two of you will take turns making that sound back and forth to one another for 5 minutes straight. It's like you have your own little sister language. 

We actually had Hadley's 9 month appointment (and took her 9 month pics!) on her 9 month birthday...I think that's a first! The doctor said she's healthy & happy! I'll have to post the rest of her stats when we get home (we're currently at Grammy & Grampy's!), but I do remember she was a little over 22 pounds which dropped her to the 93rd percentile. ;)

Hadley, you add so many laughs & smiles to our days.
