Thanksgiving 2013 & Hadley's First Trip to GA

We had a jam-packed week of fun in Georgia last week!
Shelby & Hadley "helping" us pack the night before our trip :)

Pit stop at Steak N Shake in Mobile on the way to Grammy & Grampy's house!

Shelby enjoying her chocolate milk @ Steak N Shake!
Our first full day in GA was fairly mild, but the rest of the week was unseasonably cold. So we took advantage of the nice weather on our first day & headed to Sims Lake Park to play & feed the ducks. This is one of Shelby's favorite things to do at Grammy & Grampy's house!

Visit with Grandma & Granddad
Shelby LOVED playing with their dogs & was fascinated when Grandma told
her that their dog Bronco Billy was 3 years old just like her. She's still talking about it! ;)

The day before Thanksgiving we loaded up the girls to go see Santa!

There was a little train going around the mall while we were there.
Shelby loved riding with Auntie Em!

We couldn't resist the opportunity for a quick photo op with the girls in their matching dresses!

Magical Nights of Lights
Derek & I both LOVE the Magical Nights of Lights (outdoor light display that you drive through) at Lake Lanier. We actually had our first "official" date there. :)  We try to go every year if we can, but this was our first time taking the girls! It was fun!

Shelby got to visit with Santa while we were there. When he asked her what she wanted
for Christmas this year, she told him she wanted a Christmas tree! ;)

They have tons of carnivalish type rides at Magical Nights of Lights. Of course, Shelby
was dying to do them all but it was SO COLD. We let her try the carousel. She was so
excited until her bottom touched the metal seat & pole. Then she was DONE! Ha! ;)

Can you tell we're both over it?! ;)
Trying on flower girl dresses for Auntie Em's wedding this summer!

How cute is she in the dress?!
And what would a blog post be without pictures that are out of order?! Ha! These pictures were from the mall when we went to see Santa.

I love this picture of the two of us b/c it perfectly represents Shelby right now.
Do you see the red lips? This girl loves her some "lipstick" (aka chapstick). She had
caked on about 50 layers of cherry chapstick on the way to the mall. It was really fun to
wipe off before the pictures. ;)

Blurry train pic, but so cute!

Our attempts to get a family picture this year....

Elly & Shelby at BooBoo & Pop-Pop's house

Pop-Pop took us all out on a hayride!

And a few random pics from my phone throughout the week....

Morning snuggles with Grammy

Shelby & Mommy at Everland Play. We spent one morning there
and another morning at Catch Air. It was so fun getting to go to these cool indoor
playplaces like these with Daddy. Wish we had places like this in Biloxi!

Post-nap snuggles for Grammy. We had to wake Shelby up for our Thanksgiving meal, and
she's always so out of it when we wake her from a nap. ;)

Jumping in leaves with Daddy on Thanksgiving Day

Morning milk & storytime in Grammy & Grampy's bed

Grampy feeding Hadley oatmeal

Such a fun week! We enjoyed every minute with our families! Shelby was so sad to leave everyone & kept asking when we would see everyone again (especially Elly!). Times like these makes me really wish we could live closer to family! But we were all happy to get back to Biloxi at the end of the week...it was so nice to sleep in our beds again, drive without traffic, and be able to go outside without jackets again! The Mississippi Gulf Coast has really grown on us over the last 3.5 years! ;)
