Shelby's birthday fell on a Monday this year and since Daddy had a long day at the hospital that day, we spent the majority of the day with just us girls. It was a rainy day on her birthday, so we were pretty limited on what we could do. We ended up spending the morning at Chick-fil-a playing on their indoor playground and then eating lunch. It was a fun way to spend Shelby's 2nd birthday! After lunch & playing, I decided Shelby deserved a little birthday treat. I asked her if she wanted a cookie or ice cream, and she quickly replied with ice cream. Well, I made the mistake of thinking we could order an ice cream for now and save the cookie for later. She ate only one bite of the ice cream before deciding she really wanted the cookie. ;) The ice cream ended up in the trash, but oh well! The birthday girl was happy! :)
We had a quiet evening at home as a family, and then Shelby got some birthday pudding for dessert after dinner! :) It was a big hit!
And here are Daddy and the birthday girl right before bedtime :) We had such a great day together!
We celebrated Shelby's birthday again the weekend after her birthday with a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom themed birthday party at Kangarooz...pictures and details to come soon!
