The Invitation...

We had the invitation designed by {THIS} Etsy shop. We absolutely loved how Shelby's party came together! Shelby has a serious love/obsession for the alphabet and books, so we combined her two favorite things and came up with a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom themed party! {In case you're not familiar with Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, it is a children's book about the alphabet. It was a favorite of my students when I was teaching Kindergarten, and it's a favorite of Shelby's, too!} We contemplated having the party at our house b/c there are so many cute little alphabet activities that I had in mind, but we ended up deciding against it in the end. First of all, I was stressed about taking the time to create all of these cute activities for the party when two year olds really aren't into organized activities yet...they'd rather do their own thing. :)  Also, it was a bit stressful last year planning for out of town guests & hosting a party. And I didn't really want a bunch of toddlers running around with cupcakes in my house! ;) So we decided to have the party at one of Shelby's favorite places--a bouncy house place called Kangarooz. It ended up being the best decision we could have made! It was seriously so much less stress for us--Kangarooz has a "party host" who is solely designated for your party that takes care of everything. And most importantly, Shelby seriously had the time of her life!
